Hello! I am a first-year applied math PhD student at the University of Pennsylvania. Everyone calls me "Jojo."
Before that, I lived in New York, where I worked as a mathematical optimization consultant for a bit. Before that still, I was an undergrad at Princeton, majoring in math. While there, I was very fortunate to be advised by Prof. Simon Levin on my junior paper concerning extensions of political polarization models and by Prof. Robert Tarjan on my senior thesis titled Circle Packings and Planar Separators: Geometric Methods for the Restricted Union-Find Problem.
I am interested in collective intelligence, cooperation, opinion dynamics, films, and traveling.
